I've been pretty annoyed that some of the yoyo channels that I like have replaced their new content with fidget spinner videos. I've unsubscribed to people I've been following a long time. Thanks for keeping the focus on what your core audience is here for!

Fidgeting in general has been proven to be beneficial to both kids AND adults (like myself) who need it. Having a fidget toy, especially one as quiet as a spinner, makes it a lot easier for people with the disorders that are mentioned to deal with them. They don't make them "disappear" or anything it's just easier. I have a couple spinners myself and they've made it a lot easier for me to get things done at work (at least when two hands aren't required) and I definitely stand behind them.

This video makes me TRIGGERED! I. LOVE. FIDGET SPINNERS. The first time I picked up a fidget spinner I was a healthy individual. Now I have autism, what a steal!

As a person with autism... I can say that for me, a fidget spinner did help me out a lot...
but I can't say whether it was just due to it intriguing me enough to get me through a boring moment or because of the device having magical properties...

This is your best video ever, and I feel the same as you are feeling right now.

it's not just spin it, and it helps. it's fidgeting with it. As someone who has trouble sitting still I find it nice to have around, the best I've gotten out of mine is when I'm watching a movie or something, it's something to occupy my hands.

yes, the people that get super hyped about spinners are being silly, but the people freaking out about them and hating on them are no better

Bah hubstacks ARE cool!
Don't get me wrong, it's nothing special anymore, but pull-starting a yoyo and then binding while still holding the stacks is pretty satisfying.

Now entire suggestions is going to be filled with gimmicky fidget spinner things. Glad to know there are tricks involved.

look, i get your opinion on these things, i started yo-yoing like 5 years ago because i get very anxious and stressed i start playing with stuff around me and more often than not i break stuff or make the people around me mad.

i grew up with ADHD and dyslexia and yea, when I'm in my office or outside, yo-yoing is great and superior but when in out for dinner or at a meeting i just can't walk around throwing a yoyo or playing with the salt shaker, or a spoon or what ever, instead i can just have something in my hands like under the table, without getting to distracted or distracting the people around me.

it works better than a stress ball or other toys of that kind its mostly silent and there is a collectable aspect to it.

i know its clearly overhyped, but its not as insane or nonsensical as you seem to put it, besides what about the people that get in to spinners and start gaining interest in to yo-yoing wouldn't having so much criticism from the community throw them of ?

honestly I'm not criticising the video or anything just trying to offer a different prospective on the issue, for example what if we would all bash on the people that enjoy kendamas, being like oh its just a stick with some ball tied to it, sure you can do tricks and stuff but...
that would be counter productive towards the community since they overlap. it looks to me as the skaters vs scooters deal all over again and there is no need for bashing each other.
