None - choose World Eaters and shadow box your opponent and do press ups during their round - gains for gains god

Word Bearers technically, but my boys, The Seventh Seal believe they are the only true worshipers of the Emperor... But the Emperor is not yet ready for their worship. They believe one day they will rescue him from the prison called the "Golden Theone, " and on that day he will aacend to become the 5th Chaos god. Then he will lead his true followers to destroy the false worship of the Ecclesiarchy and reign as the one true god for the rest of time.

To be honest, if you're in doubt of which Legion to play, you could just invent your own Renegade Chapter warband.
Its what I've done with mine.
They're called The Malignant Revenants, and were formerly known as the Argent Harrowers, an Ultramarines Successor.
On the tabletop they play as, well, whatever detachment I fancy.

Slaanesh will always be my favorite chaos god for what she represents. I don’t mean funny “haha sex and drugs” Slaanesh is supposed to represent excess, passion, pleasure, obsession. Yeah, sex can and is a part of that. But it should really be different depending on the person.

Slaanesh takes what you find pleasurable, and cranks it up to 100. But at the end of the day, it’s what YOU find enjoyable. In the world of 40K, that’s an interesting concept. It’s such a miserable setting and you have a chaos god going “hey, do what you like to do”.

It’s not like Khorne where it’s just fight and murder that corrupts you. Nurgle where it’s just peepee poopoo and you effectively have to be forced to join. Tzeentch where it’s just a complete mess cause “I knew the outcome all along” or some shit but you like magic so you have to deal with him. Slaanesh doesn’t have to sell you on anything. It’s just, “you want to do that? Then do it”. The main way Slaanesh corrupts you is to just reveal your deepest desires that you didn’t even know you had, but they’re still your desires.

It upsets me that GW and Black Library literally give zero lore for Slaanesh and her followers because they want to avoid sex and drugs, (But Nurgle body horror and Daemonculaba are okay I guess), when she’s so much more than those two concepts.

That’s why I hope when EC come out there’s some real variety in their appearance. There should be clean pristine sword duelists, cranked up drug fueled berserkers, super obese glutton space marines, noise marines, etc. They shouldn’t all be the same because they shouldn’t all have the same passion. But this is GW, I’m used to being let down.

27:00 if people are looking to make their own Fallen conversions GW still sells the Dark Angels Company Veterans box, which is also sold as the Fallen box. The box contains 5 robed minis and various dark angel themed upgrades (including terminator parts), so combining them with tactical marines or legionaries can give you a very flavourful force for quite cheaply when compared to standard resculpts and upgrade sprues

Night Lords and Thousand Sons are my favorites. The Night Lords series was amazing and I love the look of the Thousand Sons. Ahriman is also an interesting Character with a ton of lore. Scrab Occult Terminators are great models.

I like the Iron Warriors because they are less hysterical compared to the other chaos options.

The answer is always Death Guard

-unique models
- unique daemon engines
-has a primarch
- has Typhus who is objectively better than the primarch
- Granddaddy Nurgles embrace
- many many (too many) characters
- can play fast pace even though slow
- Best terminators
- AGAIN NURGLE!!

Edit: third place is Thousand Sons

As someone who's main strategy for their CSM is loads of Legionnaires in Rhinos and is Red Corsair themed, I'm at home with the Codex.
I'm getting a Mastodon to really spec into the pirates in space theme.

Iron Warriors don't have their dedicated miniatures but honestly speaking Mark III HH minis are perfect for them. All they need is some minor kitbashing - and even that can be avoided tbh.

Started with CSM (Black Legion Style), then Thousand Sons and now are doing World Eaters with Death Guard models already on my pile waiting. Hope for Emperors Children next. ^^

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE, GAINS FOR THE GAIN GOD, MILK FOR THE KHORN FLAKES

The word bearers are nor represented by pact bound zealots as it goes completely against the word bearers lore. While there are some among the legion who are devoted to one god those are rare as the legion looks down upon those who devote themselves to one god.

Lorgar did nothing wrong, justice for Monarchia, Ultrasmurfs are hypocrites for burning Monarchia and now Guilliman is the Lord Commander of the Imperium, which includes the Ecclesiarchy

I love the Night Lords and Emperor's Children, but god DAMN I love Word Bearers as the antagonists of the Sisters of Battle.

Thousand Sons; love the Egyptian themed armour and the story of Magnus's fall. Though 16th Legion and Nightlords are good looking as welll.

The Fellhammer siege host -1 to wound and FNP should have been a deathguard thing imo >.<

I’m still working on 3D printing myself a Night Lords army. I won’t be able to take it to any tournaments but the money I’ll save is worth it lol

Originally I wanted to do Night Lords out of the sheer irony of also being a Salamanders player, but honestly the more I read about them the more I like them. I still think Konrad was a punk bitch, and I’m not a huge fan of the flayed-skin-as-cloaks thing, but the community has been very welcoming despite that. It also helps a lot that I think the Dread Talons detachment is probably the most fun thing I’ve seen in 10th edition so far, and that includes all of the stuff my other armies (Salamanders and Eldar) can do.

I'm planning to start Emperor's Children, but I can't until we get the index. The other three god specific legions are missing a bunch of units from normal CSM, so I'm conflicted on whether or not I want to risk buying one of the battleforces and immediately discover that I have to give 75% of it to a friend.

Been trying to build a WB army for years. Will get it finished then go xeno or imperium (I'm sick of trim and the bangles) and return to build one or two small other chaos forces
