The hot sector is guns/ammo/outdoor sporting goods. Check out stocks like: SWBI, RGR, VSTO, OLN, DKS, AOUT, ELY, GOLF, CLAR, BGFV, ASO.

XLY is dominated by just two or three stocks -- Amazon at 24%, Tesla at 14% and home depot at 8%. So XLY doesn't tell u too much about the sector as a whole. better to use Equal Weight Consumer Discretionary ETF (RCD)

I think you are right. I've been in Vanguard's Consumer Discretionary Fund for over a year and it's been one my best performers I expect it to do even better as summer goes on. I also just purchased Vanguard's VGK (European Index Fund). I'm going to Europe in September after missing vacation last year due to the pandemic. I'll be in Portugal and Italy for three weeks. If I'm doing it, I have a feeling others are as well. I'm in a great position with no consumer debt and just a tiny mortgage and I've saved and invested nearly 40% of my income for several years so I think I deserve a nice vacation. :)

Interesting.. I have personally been looking at the XLP lately. Monthly chart seems to look like your XLY but more undervalued. XLV looks good too imo. I also have been heavily snagging some Amazon as well.
