Your news piece about Lithuania is 100% correct. I was just in the Baltic states last month. They have a deep, painful mistrust of Russia due to centuries of Russian imperialism and dominance. They're hoping for the best but definitely preparing for the worst. In Jake Broe's most recent segment, on the Russian money paid to US 'influencers', as I recall they had to sign a contract stipulating the pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian lines they had to take, to earn their $400 k/month. It's hard to imagine they could not work out the provenance of their new-found earning potential.
