I'm glad to see Chara smiling his whole last game. Right down to the end when he simply blocked a shot in a lost game and he went to the bench with a big smile. Probably relieved to be able to relax after this, and probably also just wanting to enjoy his last few minutes on the ice officially. Hell of a career, though I wish he could've ended it where home was, in Boston.

The islanders did their part to try and keep the lightning from winning the cup by tanking the playoffs, they know the lightning won three cups and all three times beat the islanders in the playoffs those years

A fitting end to the worse season in Islander history! From the start of this season( 13 straight road games ), to losing games then players to covid and enduring the deaths of several legendary players( RIP Mike Bossy, Clark Gillies, and Jean Potvin ), this is one to just throw into the furnace! Though with Barry Trotz, Lou Lamoriello, good ownership and a solid team, the future looks bright! See you in October Lord willing fellow Islander fans!
