Programme Note

This march was wrirten for the New York Staff Band's world tour in 1982. Two tunes are featured: 'Stand up for Jesus' and 'Marching through Georgia.’

This was the first piece conducted by the newly commissioned MSB Bandmaster, Ken Waterworth, chosen by the retiring bandmaster, Colin Woods.

Really enjoy all these videos from the archives, and this particularly seems significant as the baton is passed from one great bandmaster to the next.
