The song was released in 1970 on their album, Idlewild South. The introduction of the song features the dual lead guitar work of Dickey Betts and Duane Allman. It just doesn't get much better than this.
I was living with my father as his full-time caregiver when I recorded all of these covers. He was almost completely deaf. He would go to bed at 8 PM every evening and take out his hearing aids and I could play just as loud as I could stand it and he couldn't hear a thing. My dad passed away in 2013. I am thankful I was able to spend the last 5 years of his life with him. He was truly the finest man I've ever met in my life. I could only hope to be half the man he was. I miss you Daddy--Robert E. Hollander--war hero and my hero.
