Oh God this is so true. My husband uses my views, my words, my mannerisms! In social situations he uses my views as his own, claims my achievements and interests! It drives me crazy. Particularly when he tells me things i told him a few days ago, as if i am dumb and he's trying to tell me things

Before I knew he was a narc, I was explaining how his inappropriate behaviors were causing challenges in our connection. It was clear, concise, non aggressive but firm. He acted like I was speaking a foreign language. Then not too long after in another “confrontation” with him, he blamed shift and used my words verbatim to defend himself but it was entirely out of context to the conversation. I was BLOWN. I said on the spot that “you’re using my own words & feelings against me, and it’s completely out of context. That’s inappropriate & illogical. Why would u do that?”. I was genuinely asking bc I never experienced someone being so bizarre, in what I thought was a serious, adult conversation.
I believe he had a massive screaming tantrum. It didn’t matter, bc I was seeing him differently, like he was remedial & I didn’t know what to do with that information yet.

Yes, I noticed this. They steal things I said or claim my ideas. Other examples too. Thanks for mentioning that. They also project onto the target their own negative ways of thinking and characteristics.

Absolutely! They will steal your ideas and then claim it was theirs. It’s amazing how they will copy even your taste in Music, how to dress, your mannerisms.
My ex even copied some my house interior design lol tbh i felt weird to see that, and I didn’t know how to take that positively.

Fantastic video Danish. Spot on. My narcissist neighbour tries talking how I talk, and he copies colours I wear. Shoes etc. He even takes out the garbage at the same time we do. He tries to copy lifestyle aspects as well, and he has 2 kids. Incredibly sad, by far the saddest thing I've ever seen. Yes cringe inducing. I've been ignoring him 100% since early this year so that helps. If anyone has any other advice on how to deal with this, please let me know.

I denied this for so long among more than one Narc. I couldn't believe it, as why would they want to do that? Yet it became so obvious. No, it's NOT a form of flattery, it flips to NO Respect by not acknowledging the source. Weird People.

Robots resemble humans, but lack an identity, empathy, sympathy or a conscious. Narcs do not have basic human feelings. They do not have feelings of remorse for their actions. They gain pleasure from inflicting pain.
