Water saving toilet tips

It is quite easy to reduce the flushing volume as there are several solutions available on the market. You could try reducing the ball-valve setting, using displacement devices such as water saving bags, purchasing half dual setting toilets at your next refit, or even having toilets which flush for however long a person keeps a button depressed for.

I worry things will get stuck in the pipes with reducing water.

Someone I know used to try to save water by leaving a toilet unflushed until the toilet got full of junk and couldn’t hold any more of that! I absolutely hated that because to me, it meant leaving behind a mess and expecting someone else to pick it up no matter what! Well, that’s not the way to save water after all because it makes things get dirty faster probably by letting germs multiply and spread around!

For someone who does not know much about toilets, this illustration was absolutely horrible and confusing... to save water, install a small plastic t-valve and a inline adjustable valve to the bowl supply to slow down the pressure going to the bowl so both tank and bowl fill and the same time and stop at the same time, and adjust the floater level, most toilets are using max water out of the box
