As a note about the turrets; IRL, the Littorio had the longest range battleship guns of WW2, beating out both Yamato and Iowa. The issue that large caliber Italian guns had, was awful, in fact probably the worst dispersion of most guns in WW2.
This issue was compounded by the guns being spaced so closely together in the turrets, that the muzzle blast would would affect the adjacent barrels accuracy even further.

Perhaps Lauria is WG acknowledging said issue and placing the guns further apart in the turrets?

They kinda remind me of Sloth from the Goonies though, NGL. 😂

Like...tips how to beat a GK...what shells to use depedning on what ship you are in...where to aim and stuff like that.

Ive faced that boat in my schlieffen(got a vid on my channel somewhere), she indeed hits really hard..but the citadel is super exposed and takes big hits if caught sleeping.

This thing is literally 150-180k average easy mode, while having an incredibly easy time to get a high amount of frags/game, as if you shoot something with like 10-15k HP, you'll probably just kill it. Good game design for sure.

would love to see you film a few games where you use 80% AP, . and compare results.

I keep hearing the SAP analogy that they're like "HE with the fire chance turned off". I don't think so. I think they're very short fuse AP with a ~10% bounce angle.

I bought her as soon as she re-released. She's a ton of fun. She's fast, pretty accurate, and her AP is strong as pasta. Is it possible she's a blueprint for a future pasta battlecruiser line?🤔

I cant reach the full 80 stages required for Kitakami anyways, so going for 40 while keeping the expenses for this ship in mind, I also bought her (was waiting for the coupon too and i didnt want the steel camo) and while its fun, deffo not made for brawling, as you really get punished if you overcommit, the lack of exhaust smoke really balances it out along with its armor and lower hp.

I have the Thunderer, and while you might compare it indeed, its not the same (thankfully)
I do love the 40 knots speed with brisk and speed flag though.

On the upside for the Lauria, unlike premium ships, it will probably be in the Armory for a while. So if people give up on the Kitakami pipedream, they could still get Lauria in a few weeks! Thank you for the review!

Ironically, I just purchased the Lauria this morning. First game was a victory with 3 kills. Only have that game to go off of, but liking her so far.

A Italian BB that doesn’t absolutely suck is literally all I really want.

I bought Bourg a month or so ago because I'm impatient, so I'll definitely pick up Lauria the instant I get enough steel! Already at 9.5k so it shouldn't be too terribly long

So, Lauria or Mecklenburg? Which is more enjoyable most of the time? I like accuracy and short reloads, so I was going with the Meck. But even though it's very accurate, it doesn't have that scary factor of big BB numbers except for erasing broadside cruisers easily from what I've seen. But then Lauria came out and looks really strong with a reasonable reload speed and big damage. Maybe not too inaccurate that would cause rage. Plus, I could stop at tier 8 italian BB's and save time/resources by just using the better SAP BB, Lauria.

I find myself a little underwhelmed by how weird these guns behave. For being called a mid/long range sniper, I cannot perceive any further consistency with battlecruiser formula for dispersion. Sometimes you think to have shot the perfect salvo only to be be amazed by how inaccurately those shells splash in the water. I would buy it again, over and over, but my illusion of a finally consistent Italian bb falls short with this ship. Let's hope for Sicilia.
