The team at Whalen Speed R&D offered their new Can Am Maverick R to me for a little test drive. How could I say no? I test it out on a short course at Silverback Offroad Speedway and break it in no time!

What a coincidence that the first non-sponsored Turbo R video the car breaks. Get ready for more videos like this. I have touched every bolt on my 2017 xrs which is why I trust it. Yes, everybody builds crap nowadays. The people who design cars are a little brighter than the ones who assemble them.

Not uncommon anymore for there to be loose fasteners on brand new ohv's . Ive found a few over the years on friends new sxs's . I recommend everyone bolts check your new rig .

I picked up my new x3 a couple months ago, highly disappointed in the build quality and lack of care, loose bolts nuts and rivits sitting in damn near every crevasse, found multiple loose bolts and t30’s. No crush washers on either drain plug. Nut and bolt everything!

Definitely a warranty issue, don’t beat yourself up about that! The dealer needs to pull the wheels and tires and go over every nut and bolt on these things. Not the first broken one either with a few people snapping the front lower an arm. Hope you get one soon, still thinking it will be a good machine with the bugs worked out

Can am need to check quality control???

I really want one of these but the lack of quality control continues to be a major issue. Panel gaps I can “deal with” but this is a huge safety issue.

Nice to see a $40+ machine just falls apart on its own lol

There is no worse feeling than breaking someone else’s machine even if it’s your fault or not… trust me I’ve been there before

That’s a really bad sign. Radius rod looked mighty thin. Sad. Didn’t beat on it at alll not even a real world test. 😒

Just picked up my 2023 Renegade 650 a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed with the overall build quality. loose fasteners every where. found a cross threaded bolt on battery hold down, display was crooked in the mount. All other Can am I've owned were perfect, but its been a few years since I owned a new one and this pissed me off. BTW, every Ski Doo I've owned (I buy a new Xrs every year or 2) has been flawless. Ski Doo are still built in Canada, Can am are built in Mexico, I guess that's the difference.
