Syrian rebels free 3,500 prisoners in Homs

Footage shows rebel forces free Homs Military Prison following the liberation of the city on Dec 7, 2024.

A leading commander of Syria's Islamist-led rebel coalition said its forces had entered the country's third city Homs and freed more than 3,500 prisoners from its central prison.

"Our forces... have succeeded in freeing more than 3,500 prisoners from the prison ... in Homs," Hassan Abdel Ghani said on Telegram, after declaring that "the process of advancing and combing the city's neighbourhoods is currently under way".

As an ex-prisoner, I can feel what they do feel.
I did sajdah the day they sent me from the agency to the central prison, because in the central prison there is no investigation, pressure and threats. I was so happy that I was going to another prison!

Seems like people in these comments are letting their racism, hatred and bigotry get in their way of rational and sound thinking. Why do you think the Syrians left Syria in the first place?? It was because of Assad and the civil war and now as Assad regime is gone. A large number of Syrian refugees are actually coming back. For now the Jordan borders and Turkey are letting the Syrian people return to Syria

unfortunately it's merely 350 prisoners released whilst thousands are still stuck on the 3 underground levels * ( they are still to this moment digging them up ) because their is about 6 meters of reinforced concrete and they lack the heavy équipement to efficiently dig...) the secret passages are unknown as the guards fled and the locals could find it due to the enormousity of the prison and the rupture of electricity..
