I was having troubles with my cable... I watched his video, commented and he figured it out for me... it’s been over two months since, and he reached out to me again to make sure everything was working well, this person is absolute GOLD! Thank you so so much!

The simplest answer is to get rid of Comcast. I can't wait for the day!

How does he not have over 100k subs !? He replied and answered one of my question almost right away, and he makes informing, clear videos that aren’t 30 mins long !

After 45 minutes with an Xfinity/Comcast rep and getting nowhere, I searched on YouTube for a possible fix for a box with no signal. I didn’t have any faith the steps in this video would solve anything. I was wrong, you definitely provided the solution. Thanks a million!

You have the exact personality that I need to fix stuff with my tv. Because I hate having issues! I don't understand anything: it's all a bunch of cables and wires and I understand nothing! So, I really appreciate your calm demeaner. You don't rush. You really take time and you respect your listener, or your viewer. I actually really appreciate your terms like "small box" and "big box." Thank you!!!

I've got a Boarding House with 12 cabled rooms who all lost channels and got pixilated. Found the main box (that got disconnected when the guy moved out), reconnected it, and BAM, everything's back to normal. Great video on the most obvious problem.

Was having problems with the same issue and redid the box out in the living room and came back in and you're exactly right it restarted the smaller box so thank you for the stress that I would have had dealing with them Xnfinity and you helping it's very hard to find. Thanks buddy

Thanks so much I had called the provider (tech support) a couple of times and they knew what boxes I had but never directed to do what you had in your video. Thanks for the help. Now the wife can watch all the Ha - - Ma-k channel she wants.

Some are fix by online with comcast/xfinity customer service by sending signal and refreshing the system on itself. However its a big help for the video you've share sir. Thank you!

This did absolutelt nothing. The paperwork for the cable box says to do exactly this. So helpful.

OK I got as far as unhooking the cord on the main cable box. Mine looked different so I just unhooked all three things and put them back in and voila! Fixed it. From now that is my go to solution and not bother to send a signal, call Verizon, blah blah who just lie about everything. Thank you for this!

All good tips here. Assuming your signal strength is good from the line-hung amp (the thing on the pole 15 ft up) to the interface at the house (typically a ground block), it is up to the homeowner to make sure signal is distributed appropriately. In larger homes with multiple splits a drop amp is much better than using 3dB splitters anywhere. Comcast has a threshold for signal up to where the drop hits the house. The rest is on you. One common problem not often mentioned is the unreliability of the 5 V power supplies provided with comcast DTA's and X1 boxes. I have had 3 of these go bad in the past 5 years. When they don't provide steady 5 V the box will give problems including reboots and connection issues which look just like signal strength issues or noise ingress. In fact, I have had tech support tell me during a live chat that I had a noisy line. After checking my coax, etc., I replaced the power supply (the black box which plugs into the wall). This fixed everything. Point is comcast can't tell when the 5V is going bad. Anytime I swap an X1 box at the Xfinity store I never return the power supply with it. That way I have some backups at home. You can get them on ebay and amazon too, but typically you pay $20 for a $2 item. And, similarly, anytime you swap a comcast/xfinity box with a new one, make sure you use the new power supply that came with it.

I have no error code but my screen is frozen and the words WELOME in English Spanish and French. I can't even get out of this screen to go into a menu.

I was having issues (errors) with just one channel (CNN) giving me errors. I do not have a big (router) box, just the one TV top box. I used to have additional boxes in other rooms so signal was splitting via coax a few times. I went to a wireless Roku signal for the other TVs and CNN worked just fine there (via stream app). I traced it to an old splitter that was splitting signal 4 ways and sending it to dead/unused cable wires at each bedroom. To resolve, I removed the 4 way splitter, and installed a 2 way only (with no open terminals), at the correct frequency. The main wire enters splitter, One goes to my modem and the other to the one TV with the Comcast box shown in this video. There are no additional unused wires going to the other rooms. This improved the signal strength (no extra splitting) and brought back CNN on the main TV box. I was able to cancel my tech appointment a day before they even got here

I don’t have the big box and I’m getting error code RDK-03036 and I’ve restarted it and unplugged everything. I’m positive all the wires are plugged in as tight as I can go. What do I do?
