Building a Feather Edge Fence [Time Lapse Build]

Показать описание
Construction and building a feather edge ( closeboard ) fence.
Firstly had to remove dense shrubs and trees, then stumps below ground with a stump grinder.
On this job I had to be very careful as the post you see in front of the fence were boundary markers and the residents insisted these stayed exactly as they were, the new fence was to be in keeping with the current fence and was built as close to the boundary as possible.

Working on a gravel driveway, I was very conscious about leaving debris in the gravel so used tarpaulin to cover everything completely.

The fence was constructed of pressure treated timber. from Chaltons timber Frome
100 x 100mm posts
48mm x 27mm rails
125 x 1650 feather edge

Really good job. nice ending showing what it was like before! that is a hard job to keep that gravel clean and tidy looks like you have done this before (nice use of tarps)

This job was started before the lockdown. If you're planning on building a fence, you might struggle to find materials at the moment because of the lockdown. Mole Valley Farmers are selling pressure treated timber for essential work. Hope this helps. Stay safe.
