funny that you bring up the subject of invisibilty. after a long life of building several businesses, a couple years ago i felt that it was time to walk away from living at center of a hive and at the hub of activity, and to seek something simpler, and invisibility occurred to me.

that became far easier by growing a long grey beard and unkempt grey hair and wearing plain loose and comfortable clothes.

the strange thing is that although i have indeed faded into the background, becoming nearly invisible to most people, i observe others much more closely and now notice all of the other invisible people who are also observing closely, and i try to gently seek to have a conversation with them, and have met some fantastic people.

and i have zero fear. where once there was a place in my mind with a caution and fear loop running, there is now nothing.

and that has sprouted from living simply and openly and embracing invisibility.

Good call! I have never felt so seen or so safe as I have on the road and at the stops I've camped. There are far fewer men out here, in my experience, but the ones I've come across and met and spent some time with have all been perfectly wonderful. I love the company of men, too, for their energy. And I am really good as "weeding" out the ones who don't have that good energy so I rarely even notice they were there. Far more fun ones than not!

Mary you are definitely not invisible, you are a beautiful soul. The pups were so cute! Campers think different and I have talked with many strangers and had fun. That’s my motto too, “I refuse to live in fear.”
I met a guy in Montana at a laundromat and we are friends to this day. Nothing heavy just friends.
