Badenoch calls Labour's Schools Bill 'the worst of socialism'

Kemi Badenoch claims the prime minister's Schools Bill will reverse improvements made by the previous Tory government.

She says these reforms were not introduced in Wales, which has been under Labour control, and that Welsh educational outcomes have "tumbled".

"Poor children in England now do better than wealthier children in Wales".

She says the bill is an "attack on excellence", "higher standards" and "aspiration", describing it as the "worst of socialism".
