I played this song on kalimba at my grandfather’s death bed. He suffered from severe dementia but we’d sing Daisy Bell together. The music box sounds like a kalimba. This video gives me comfort for that reason. Love you papaw.

I remember my piano teacher giving me the sheet music for this song...
I wonder if she's doing well, she's getting pretty old...

Edit: 2024-02-22 I visited my piano teacher a couple months ago, she's doing very well and still teaching piano lessons! Will be visiting her again soon when I finish knitting a hat/scarf for her :)

I don't know why people think daisy bell is a creepy song. The song was actaully sang by a computer and people thought it's creepy, maybe it's because of the voice of the computer i dunno

I came upon this cover while looking for an instrumental to use for a Reddit livestream (The stream is LocoRoco themed, so I wanted to sing this as one of the game's characters), and this version made me tear up because Reddit is discontinuing livestreams on the 15th, and this will basically be my last stream on there, my only other Reddit stream being a test stream I did in June where I played all of the Underdrome mini-games in Kingdom Hearts 2.
