How To Create And Share Amazon Wish List

In this quick tech how to video, I’m going to show you how to create an Amazon wish list, or just a list in general as Amazon has now combined them all, and then make it public to share with others.

There used to be a difference in shopping lists and wish lists, but Amazon has now made it easier and just combined them, and then allowed them all to be sharable.

Hover over Account and Lists here at the top and the drop-down menu will appear.

On the left, you’ll see the lists section, where any lists that you already have will be shown. We’ll create a new list, so choose Create A List. On the pop-up dialogue, give your list a name, and then hit Create List.

Here we now have our new empty list. You can tap here and add an idea to your list, useful if you want to give a broad idea of the things you’d like to get.

We’ll go ahead and add an item. To be quick, I see a microphone down here I like. Choose the item, and on the item page, under the add to cart and buy now section, you see Add to list. Choose the drop-down arrow, and then choose the list you want to add to. You can continue shopping, or head back to view your list.

Now we have an item, and a general idea added to our list. Now to share it, choose Invite.

On this window, choose whether you want the people who view this list to be able to view only, or view and edit. We’ll choose View Only.

You’ll then get a link that you can copy and paste anywhere, like a social media post or email, or you can select Invite by Email and it will automatically open your email client with a clickable link inside. Now you have a shared Amazon list that you can share for others to view.

If you want to delete a list, just head back to the main list overview, click More on the top right, and then choose Manage List. Inside of here, scroll down to the bottom and choose Delete List.

And that’s how you create and share an Amazon list for others to view.
