Still one of the greatest scores ever written. Thank you Bronislaw for this masterpiece.

Bronisław Kaper, probably the most successful polish composer in Hollywood earned great success with scoring dozens of pictures of the golden age. He was the man who brought us the unforgettable theme for "Invitation", which became a classic jazz standard. His literally greatest work was for "Mutiny On The Bounty", a grand score for a grand picture, starring Marlon Brando in one of his greatest roles. The music was conducted by Robert Armbruster, who later said that this job marked one of the absolute highlights of his career.
There was a hell of music to choose from for this suite, so I hope you enjoy it!
Best wishes from the north-sea, Germany!

Here's another great score from a great composer Bronislaw Kaper who never got the proper recognition he should have gotten. We will never again see the likes of a composer like Kaper ever again. All we have now is hacks and copycats who just love the sound of a Drum Machine for film music. All the great composers of film music are dead and their music with them. Thanks Fred as usual for a great upload of some terrific Film music. Out.

Music as pure entertainment and a joy of the cinema is dead.
Thank you Fred for at the least keeping our memories alive.
Oh to live in the sixties again.
Thank you Fred.

It was precisely this music and the film that inspired me to travel to Tahiti under any circumstances. In the year 1994, during my time as a scuba diving instructor in Australia, I was lucky enough to fulfill my dream of traveling to French Polynesia and even working there for a while as a diving instructor.
Unforgettable were the trips on the ferries to Moorea, Raiatea, Bora Bora, Huahine, etc. where singing and guitar music were played during the sail.
Wonderful memories!

Kaper was a great composer and a great pianist. My father the Polish tenor Jan Kiepura and Bronek were great friends. Kaper composed hit songs for my father in his movies before WW2. They stayed friends and I can remember going to his home many times outside LA when I was kid. And Robert Armbruster, the fine conductor here, and my father worked together frequently.

At 09:10, this music is so beautiful. It perfectly fits the moment when the sailores get along with the tahitian girls, plus the breathtaking photography. What an amazing movie!

Oh my God this is such a beautiful score. I've always loved it. 1962 had without doubt the greatest nominees for best film score of all time. Mutiny on the Bounty, Lawrence of Arabia, Taras Bulba, To Kill a Mockingbird and Freud. Great job of editing this. Wonderful!!!

Einfach atemberaubend!

This opening is among the greatest film scores in film history and elevates Kaper into the realm of Newman, Rozsa, Bernstein.

Nobody captured the essence of a movie better than Kaper as did Rozsa in Ben Hur. Timeless classic is a massive understatement in both cases.

Another great piece. I saw this film as late as 27th August 1984 on the telly as I missed the premiere behind the iron curtain, 15th February 1963, a bit later than the premiere in the UK.

This music is a fitting tribute to one of the best, if not the best, seafaring films ever made.
