Christ imagine having to have your emotions dampened just to fire this gun
Coletto
$10k is actually cheaper than I thought.
kemsat-nh
Smart link version basically go "Swallow your morals, they're a poor man's quality."
alexandrefillot
"I need a gun."
"Will you be taking on any cyberpsychos, Mr. Silverhand?"
"Yeah, I'm thinking I will"
chloemackinly
10, 000 for a full Research & Development to final product cycle? That's cheap

Meanwhile my V with no arm cyberware crying every time she breaks her arm firing it.

I had the fridge thought a month ago that the bullets in _Edgerunners_ always blew up people because they were designed to be used against cyborgs with millitary-grade armor and other enhancements that would made our current low calliber ammunition useless against them. This video pretty much confirms my theory
Mario_Angel_Medina
“you need to have a cybernetic arm to fire it”
johnny using his non cybernetic arm:

Doing the math, johny got a better deal on a custom piece of iron than my current character in 2077 did on off the shelf tech. I spent like 20k on my pistol and it barely does the job but johny spent like 5k and got an elephant gun designed to stop an m1abrams cosplayer.
roundaboutcitizen
That gun is so ridiculous "dampens emotions so you can shoot it without worrying"
duderitoz
Fun fact: this gun is one of two in the game considered a ‘Borg’ weapon. This basically means it can use multiple round types. It can use Richochet rounds AND is still considered a Tech weapon. You can shoot through walls too.
CringeGamingOG
Damn, really be pulling out the mgr tactics
qgamers
Ok but why there's a Gundam Bael in the back holding a beam saber? Lol
Kiratox_
Surely there would be a much better recoil dampening system than locking the arm joints in place
Wouldn’t that just direct it all into your shoulder/back
Cheesepuff
When it cuts out at the end Im like where's part 2???" Lol this was so good
Raziel_Hijikata
I'm surprised you didn't mention the genius loading mechanism.
Mag-out-of-grip pistols suffer from a massive loss in barrel length compared to traditional semi-autos. The Malorian gets around this by pulling rounds backwards out of the magazine similar to how a shotgun's tube mag works.
orpheus
Wrong; Dimensionally, it's just above .50 SW Mag, but materially and design wise was comparable to tandem rounds, just miniaturized. What you're looking at is the outer shell casing; it loses that and has a second ignition charge inside that fires another bullet.
It's a literal anti tank pistol.
gigaus
Biggest thing is that it can penetrate walls the same as tech guns iirc, which means like those guns, it probably has some sort of magnetic rail system as well to amplify velocity. The built-in flamethrower, also certainly doesn't hurt to have.

Please more cyberpunk weapon lore and explanations!!!
daimienhone
5, 000 for all that is really affordable all things considered
