would you believe it lol, about a year ago, I asked my other half if I could borrow a few quid to buy this app to use with 3DS Max, it works good btw. then about 2 months ago, my enthusiasm for wood work was rekindled only to find that one of my favourite youtube artists was the one who actually created this brilliant program! This is an extremely impressive program. Are you using a physics engine to simulate this? I'm working on a similar program to generate tank tracks.

I'd be very interested in the algorithm you used to generate these chains.

The standard tooth profile of the sprocket even takes into account the elongation of chains in operation. Here it is not visible

What's the wobbly mode for? Also maybe you should make a UWP version of this program - I bet it would look amazing in dark mode! Great as always.

This program is really cool, I would love to play around with it even though I wouldn't make a gear. You should make a video on how you made the program.( if you haven't already, I didn't check)

If you were to put the axis of rotation for the gear off-center, could you eliminate the up and down wobble of the chain?
This video is old but the program is amazing for DIY'ers! (I just now discovered this)

Doesn't look like physics. It's "just" geometry (as long as you neglect gravity, friction, material strength, aso.). I did some of these gear calculations/construction at university myself. Except for the fact that it's very tedious, it can be done with a calculator.

No physics engine. Just an awful lot of trigonometry.

Can the program be used to cut a plate of metal accurately enough to use actual roller chain? Also can you make an icon for the program instead of it just using the default Visual Studio icon? It just looks kind of unprofessional....
