The Expendables 3 - They Finally Got the Action Formula Right

Antonio Banderas is the best part of this movie.
Seriously, I could watch a movie based on his character.
He's set up to be this tag along but caman, desperado man!

I'm rather confused how someone could say that the 2nd movie was drab. The 1st one sure, but Expendables 2 suddenly realized how absurd it's premise once, and stopped taking itself seriously.

I mean, the movie's was largely deadpan about it, but the script and plot, and freaking Chuck Norris cameo makes it obvious the movie was essentually a tongue-in-cheek parody of itself. Nothing like the first movie, and that's a good thing I think.

Certainly interested in what the 3rd movie has to offer.

In the end credits there is two clips to click on to link you to other shows, the Turtles, and "another", but when I clicked on the other one... I went to World war Z.  Anyone know the title of that "other movie"? and if it was at least interesting?

I don't know what it is but the woman from the UFC takes the cake. She comes off as kinda witty and is tough as nails while still being a great looker. Nothing quite like a woman in shape.

the only person that was missing was  Rutger Hauer, but his not as muscular as he used to be so it doesn't bother me,
he was still in hobo with a shotgun, one of his best

No end credits + jokes in the YouTube version. Can we get a variant cover instead? Like an acoustic cover of the theme song. It would be like video equivalent of a comic book cover.

I didn't like the first one because it kind of seesawed between being a straight action movie and a parody of/homage to action movies, and succeeded at neither. The second one, though, fell firmly into 'parody/homage', and in my opinion nailed it. And I think this one did pretty much the same, so yeah, agree with you about 1 and 3, if not 2.

Yeah, I still liked the last two Expendables movies. But yeah, I agree this was a pretty entertaining movie in its own right.
