This information is exactly why we appreciate you guys so much. Really enjoyed staying in your RV at Thunder Canyon. We are total newbies and it was very Valuable to have the experience of staying in RVs without having to buy one first. Miss Thunder Canyon and you guys!!! So peaceful and wonderful - can't wait to go back. Totally recommend the rentals there! LOVED the chickens and totally recommend renting the Sandpiper at Thunder Canyon ❤❤❤❤

Having a companion is great but listening to these two reminds me that single life is bliss.

Mercedes' honesty is priceless because she lets viewers know she enjoyed RVing because John managed the driving, hook-ups, maintenance, etc.

Guess it depends on your primary reasons for full-timing. For us it was to get out from under our mortgage and to be able to bug out at a moment’s notice (especially living in CA). My lovely bride still works full time and I’m semi-retired, but make no mistake, move days, repairs, and managing the RV household is a full-time job!

We have been fulltiming for 4 years now. I would say the pandemic really affected this adventure. I have had no problems driving our 40ft fifth wheel because I’ve drove large vehicles most of my life. I think the travel is PART of the adventure. Stop and smell the roses along the way.

Thanks for so much information in this video. I'm 70 yrs young, and I learned all of this information first hand over my lifetime. You two are so correct in your assessments. There are so many factors to think about when camping, traveling and enjoying your time on the road. I have had 6 different campers of various types and did enjoy each one for different reasons at different times in my life. There is no one camper that will cover every situation because often, needs and situations change. Thanks for your insight and videos.

After many years of RV transporting, little tear drops to million dollar tour buses, I found that more than 50% of RV drivers are ill-equipped to drive their RV. Yes, proper training and licensing should be a must. And, yes. The driving part is a pleasure when you know what you're doing. (Bob, the key guy)

My rule is the 2-2-2 rule. Drive only two hours. Arrive in your next hookup by 2:00pm. Stay two nights before driving again. Pretty stress free.😊. Totally agree with your analysis. I full-timed a little over two years.

Time is up for all the folks that rushed into RV'ing during Covid. Need the RV selloff to free up RV campground reservations

John, stop being so defensive. LOL, I cannot tell you enough how much you 2 remind me of me and my husband, lol. I think Mercedes has proven she won't be where she doesn't wanna be. Blessings to you both and Sage.
And you're right about a lot of RV people - but that's why we prefer YOU guys - YOU were honest w/the good and the bad from the get go.

Let her talk! Gosh! Come on. Mercedes can say what she wants. RV driving can be stressful! I agree. My fiancé owns a semi trucking company but he knows nothing about how my RV works. Keep speaking up Mercedes.

In 2020 we sold our highwall popup and bought a Grand Design 22 foot couples trailer. We didn't buy with the idea of grandkids or kids camping with us, we bought it for our enjoyment. Within a year it was fully paid for. We have had to replace the water pump and the thermostat and we chose to do everything ourselves. We only camped in our home state. We were towing with a 2003 GMC Sierra and bought a 2020 so we could travel out of state. Going to start checking off things on the bucket list. Planning a trip to see Mount Rushmore!

I've been solo rvin for 23 years. I've been an ER nurse. For thirty years I usually have a dog .. I've had wild and crazy adventures and still do a lot . Especially as communities and crime have increased it's easy to move. I am still meeting so many interesting people on the road and and I just turned seventy four..

Nice content. Lots of folks jumped on the RV wagon past three years of pandemic and now realize it’s not for everyone and now jumping off. I’m thinking keep eyes open for a great deal on barely used RV as resale prices crash. Best practice is to rent a RV and test drive the experience before spending money buying a depreciating vehicle.

Thanks a lot guys, We are fighting here in the living room. deciding who does all the work in RVing. But Yes, it goes that way for everyone. We have owned a few, but decided our single axle RV is the easiest way to travel. Getting there should be part of the fun.

We researched and planned for years. Once the kids were grown and on their own, we were able to afford to finally get a travel trailer. Watched tons of videos, walked in dozens of campers, and narrowed it down to the one that fit us best. Made checklists for set-up and teardown, which made it much less stressful. I have driven several times, but have not backed into a site...yet. Our camper is 26' total length, towing with a 3/4-ton truck. It really is about research, learning what you absolutely need to know beforehand, and continuing to learn along the way. We can both do the inside and outside jobs just in case, and that came in handy when I hurt my knee during teardown one time and hubby had to do everything while I sat in the truck with ice on my knee.

We used our rv 2:38 A LOT over 6 years but we just felt is was time for the next chapter. We had great experiences RVing but now we’re ready for something new. Looking forward to renting a rig at TC 😊
