You can make all sorts of fancy things, but in the end, if it's not a native app, you will have failed.

If people vastly prefer native apps over their browser, then why are you so keen to skip native apps and force them to use their browser (further crippled by the removal of navigation features when used to display a fake app) when it is clearly not what users want?
