If there's one thing about 40k that will always amuse me its the Necrons trying to interact with people who have a lifespan.

Humans: This 3 hour play is too long and boring!
Necrons: THEATER PLAYS THAT LAST D E C A D E S

Emperor of Mankind: "And they shall know no fear!"

Necrons: *opening up a history book
We'll see about that, *clears throat, page 1, prelude . . .

Me when I talk 40k lore to someone who has never heard of it and was foolish enough to entertain my thoughts

If there is Klemptomanic Necron like Trazyn, I don't see why there couldn't be a couple like this one.

Great. Now I wanna this sort of Necron Lord to be a thing in lore.
Imagine him, teleporting to Space Marine cruiser bridge, with his bodyguards around him, starting to fight chapter master, and saying:
„Be honored meatbags. The striking assult you are now being subjected to is minor recreation of the time when Great Rameshesan the Seventh boarded the bridge of Eldar Farseer Commander who was able to predict every move of his armies. The tactic was originally created during the Time of Flesh before our civilization discovered faster than light travel, and reintroduced by Pephiton the 23th during conquer of our solar system. Anyway, the battle Rameshesan fought was obviously much greater in scale and firepower, naturally, and he performed his suicidal action on a ship whose bridge was 23.4 times larger than this-
Random guard: My lord.
„What is it Sotek?”
RG: The meatbag died 1.25 minutes ago.
Looks at the corpse.
„Hm. So this is not like Rameshesan’s battle after all. Oh well. Onward men! We shall suceed where Great Rameshesan the Seventh have failed! Kill the ship’s gauss fusion reactor To glory!”
Cryptek: Should anyone tell him humans dont have gauss fusion reactors? Or gauss? Or even fusion reactors?
RG: Just shut up find something big for him to blow up before he starts to recite the War in Heaven again.

A rare gem among the algorithm, i love seeing necrons depicted as haughty shitposters.

The fact that it ONLY took 10 days to get to the end of the war in heaven means the necron is TRYING to summarize it for his mortal friend/hostage

One of my favorite nekron moments was when a bunch of having a meeting in the infinite and the divine. One of those awkward pauses happened where everyone's thinking and no one can come up with an idea and then the narrator casually throws out that five years went by during the pause

I actually imagine most Astartes would be genuinely fascinated by the lore if they were sat down and told about it; however, being held in that position for ten days, I couldn't imagine the joint pain.

In all honesty, as long as i got breaks for meals and bathroom, I wouldnt consider this to be terrible (certainlynot by 40k standards). Getting "Galactic History 101" from a necron overlord would be something i think a remembrancer would give an arm and a leg for.

Marine: Trains for decades from childhood. Undergoes months of surgery and years of indoctrination. Gets sent on first actual mission. *becomes the plaything of a cranky old robot skeleton*

as a historian, I agree. Don't stop, I am noting.

I think necron intentionally got wordy after they removed their time limits.
Before that, they basically just barked out sentences as quickly as possible before the cancers took them.

I love how accurate this is in terms how long it takes to tell the history about “The War in Heaven.”

What's funny is if you somehow actually managed to break into his gallery and lived, you can ask him Trazyn for a tour and he'll gladly give you one. I mean, there's a very wholesome part (in 40k's context anyway) where Trazyn spoke to his human librarian and he actually treated him better than the Imperium ever did. 1 part I still remember till this day was:

"Rewards are the fundamental mechanism of good leadership. Any master would do the same"
"My daylight masters in the Serenade Central Librarium did not."
"No, " Trazyn admitted. "Yours is a terrorised culture, my friend, and terror breeds obedience – but not loyalty"

Memes aside, Trazyn is an awesome Necron, some say his appreciation/"humanity" towards his employee/slave is even better than the actual humans.
