You do a great job playing off the melody. You have a pleasing tone. I think the next step is to play phrases more aligned with the harmony. ie. off the top play a phrase that goes from the Dm through the G7. (Two bar phrase) would just focus on the guide tones C from the Dm going to B in the G7. Put notes in between that are in the key of C to keep it simple.
