Most of iphones are manufactured in china, but apple's biggest market is USA, if they near about double the price in USA, their market share will surely fell, I don't think Apple want to take that big risk, so they'll hike prices in other regions too including India to balance the price hike in USA.

Out of the countries in which manufacturing/assembling of iPhone takes place, exports from India will attract a 27% tariff against Vietnam (46%) and the main hub China (104%) as per the mooted changes. This means it's more economical for Apple to import from India to cater to their main markets - US/EU. It might happen very soon that the supply of units produced in India might become very restricted for consumption in India. If the supply is less and demand is high, inevitably there will be less discounting with iphones being sold at or near MRP. Also to protect profit margins on a global level, MRP might further increase. So yes, this is perhaps the best time to buy iphones, if things stand as it is.

These tarrifs are for US domestic market. Why would increase in tax in US will affect pricing in India, when the iPhones are already assembled here or in China. It is like saying if Indian govt increase GST on phones tomorrow, the prices are gonna rise in India and US both.
