I have been concerned that the 2 (Bond & Downs) young playmakers from last season had left and there was nobody i had seen who could take their place in those 2 roles. I realize that it was WKU and there is a talent difference that can give false impressions. However, it appears to even my skeptical opinion that both positions have at least one player that are potential upgrades. Transfer DB from USC looks to be plenty fast which was my initial unresearched guess. I dont know if run stopping is like Downs but probabky better in coverage and probably better awareness and understanding. Williams is a name that has a lot of positve memories at Alabama and this Freshman WR already showed up and showed out. He looks ELITE to my amatuer eye. That looked like game speed that hasnt worn crimson since Jameson Williams got hurt in National Championship game. That deep threat can be like a zipper to so much more of an offenses capabilities. I was somewhat surprised by the ease with which the Tide throttled WKU. My other concern is not any less though. I see the same lack of self-discipline from offensive line in particular that will be hard to overcome against some quality opponents on a very difficult schedule. I was impessed with the full contact scrimmage against an out of conference team with a very experienced wild card qb who has been in the SEC as a starter. RTR.

I guess the two safeties are going to be keon sabb and Malachi Moore but redarious Morgan will probably be the extra safety back there cuz I don't know about Devonta Smith I don't know if he's got what it takes to be a starter I think King Mack might even be better than him. And of course at the cornerback position demani Jackson and brown are the guys, not talked about because they shut their wide receivers completely down. And I believe Jalen Mbakwe will be the Nickelback.
An our linebackers will be of course the best duo of middle linebackers in the country Deonte Lawson and Jihad Campbell who was amazing and on the outside it's going to be Qua Russaw/ Jordan Renaud or LT Overton( not Latham). And the defensive line is got to have James Smith a part of it along with Jaheim Otis Tim Keenan and Tim Smith. Carver boys are ridiculous. I believe if this is your starters then it's going to be ridiculous to do anything against this defense I know we're going against Western Kentucky and we're really not going to find out what bamas made out of until we go to Camp Randall and of course next week will be a better version of Western Kentucky much better with South Florida. What happened to Kobe Prentiss and Germie Bernard?
And I think our running back room is the best and deepest in the country I mean my goodness Jim Miller is a monster and Justice Haines is got star all over him and of course Daniel Hill is an absolute Bruiser and Kevin is a Speedster. But it's obvious the two great wide receivers are going to be Ryan Williams and Kendrick Lamar but I think Cole Adams will eventually become a starter for Bama and I don't know who else it'll be probably Bernard I just don't think Kobe Apprentice has it. I think we got two incredibly gifted blocking tight ends with Robbie and Josh but I don't know about the route running tight ends like CJ and Danny. And they're going to have to step up but I think Caleb Odom him is going to end up supplanting both of those guys. And the offensive line had their moments I mean they're still having some numbskull penalties that they've got to stop they are too good of an offensive line but even with Kayden Proctor out of the game and I don't think it's a serious injury Elijah Pritchett and Wilkins Formby can hold their own. And of course our quarterbacks he is a potential for the Heisman and a national title quarterback and there's a good chance that he will lead this team into Atlanta for the SEC Championship but it's a long year and it's going to be tough and depth is going to have to be an issue for everybody because this is a long season and it's going to be brutal so whoever's got the best depth is going to Prevail and whoever's got the best depth of really talented players and I think Alabama has got the depth in most positions with the exception of the offensive tackles I think we have a question with depth right there and we have a question of death at the middle linebacker position and we have a question of death at the cornerbacks position. But we'll see how everything plays out I just hope Kayden Proctor is back soon cuz we need him
