I saw a picture on Pinterest about the formal arrangement of cutlery. I believe it came from your guide. The placement of knives does not match the rules I learned elsewhere. I believe the first course should always map to the cutlery on the outside followed by the second course and so on. The knives did not correspond with the forks according to the rule.

Add in :
1. Good posture (not slouched in the chair)
2. No elbows on the table
3. Simple "Please" and "Thank You" when passing things.
4. Warn people if something is Warm when passing (so they don't burn themselves).
5. Thank the host at the end, how wonderful it was (server or family).
6. Offer to help with the dishes/cleaning up afterward (if it's family) obviously not a restaurant!

Αctually many people don't behave like that during a meal. It is very repelling chewing with your mouth open or speaking while eating and many times people may tell you to drop the standard behavior during the meal just because you are a company and you know each other. Great video again Antonio learning these things from somebody like you is really nice and it will lead me to become what I admire.

I once had a lecturer from the States. She was very strict with attendance and marked some people absent if they were late. She always said "if you're early you're on time, if you're on time you're late"

I'm from the UK and in my family at least we don't have the habit of saying grace over dinner. I used to date a girl who lived in Virginia and though she wasn't overly religious her and her family would say grace and one thing they were grateful for that day. They understood I wasn't religious and didn't expect me to join in apart from naming something I was grateful for but it did make me think and be mindful of other families' traditions.
