We begin today in Thailand, where a school bus crashed on a highway near Bangkok and caught fire, killing 23 people, of which 20 were children.
According to the local authorities, bodies of 20 children and three teachers have been recovered after the fire was extinguished on the single-decker bus, which had been carrying 44 passengers.

Newly appointed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, said on a social media post that "As a mother, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families,", adding that the students from Wat Khao Phraya primary school were returning from a field trip to the Uthai Thani province, some 250 kilometers north of the Thai capital.

Local media showed videos where the school bus was engulfed in flames as it burned under an overpass.

Witnesses say it crashed into a concrete barricade on the highway after suffering a front tire burst, before catching fire.

The Thai transport minister said that the bus was powered by "extremely risky" compressed natural gas.

Thailand suffers around 20,000 fatalities a year from road accidents, having one of the worst road safety records in the world.

The biggest contributing factor to being the worst in road safety is the lack of competent operators of heavy vehicles! Most of them don't put safety first! In Thailand when you see or hear this it makes you laugh, because they use it very loosely! Try using it as a policy not as a slogan! Innocent people's lives are at stake here!

On other report the bus carries canister of natural gas I don't know what's that for but it helps spread the fire quickly. Out of 44, 23 died meaning 21 were braved enough to jump from the window

1) the bus did not crash - it had a tire go flat 2) the bus was not a "school bus" it was a converted LPG fuel system on a commercial bus 3) the driver quickly exit the bus and ran away and shut off his phone 4) approximately 60-80 deaths per day occur in Thailand from road incidents.... put the "facts" in your reporting or don't bother

Redesign all bus to have detachable roof or 3fire exits like airplane has 3exits and emergency landing. The bus should be redesigned why is it difficult to.put 3exit doors? And there should be fire extinguishers for all bus. All Schools should not be allowed to take field trips which are far from school. Walking distance is preferred. Those children are helpless they do not have initiatives to think or climb or jump the windows therefore for minors there should be no field trip except if walking distance. Bus should have 3 exit doors and extinguisher. Nobody really learned in all that happened. Children are always victims and if we can assure safety then why are we putting children at risk in a so called field trip? Accident is accident bound to happen. Poor CHILDREN. Teachers are heroes

South korea also had students tragedy in boat ferry. When in ferry they should be allowed to bring with them their own boat or life saving thing or students who be divided into 2 groups one group to 1st ferry ship then 2nd group to another ship.
