I'm going to share with you my 8-year journey of learning English and discuss 3 important life lessons that I have discovered through the process of learning English.

Follow me on Twitter and Instagram!

I currently work full-time in Japan as a "Salary Man" but I'm on my way to becoming a full-time creator and contribute to society through making content that I believe in and matter to me.

This is my dream and I know I won't be able to make this happen without the support from each and every one of you. So it would be great if you could support my life journey by joining "The Community".

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video!

I'm an English speaker currently abroad learning Spanish. Realizing the layers there are to communication, it's so much more than words! You have to learn a whole culture inside and out to take understand what people are saying. Realistically it would take years, maybe lifetimes! Definitely not a means to any end, but it is learning just for the sake of your enjoyment and communication 🙏.

What an unpretentious, transparent, clear thinking, clear speaking young man. Wisdom beyond his years. Not screwed up by worldly distractions. This guy is truly a good influence on all of us.

Thank you Sena for an excellent video, clear and insightful as usual. I have been teaching English as a Second Language in Hawaii for many years, mostly to immigrants from Asia. You should learn your second language as you learned your first: first listen, then speak, then read, then write. Using the immersion method and conversational style, you learn to speak before you work on learning from books and grammar. English is a very easy language to learn a little, but it is very difficult to learn well. I admire you, and wish you all the success you strive for in life.

Years ago I went to South America to work and studied Spanish for four months and was so frustrated because it wasn't your enough to be fluent. So I went out and started to work and began to understand the language much better than being in a classroom. Even though I came back to the States and taught Spanish I'm not fluent I'm not good at it but I can teach it. I am amazed at how well you speak English. You not only speak it well but you know the nuances of the language and I applaud you for telling people to be realistic that you can't learn a language in 30 days ...it takes a lot of time and effort.

My experience in learning English is, don't be afraid of grammatical error when you converse. As long as you are able to deliver the message, that's fine already! In Malaysia, many of us tend to deliver the messages first rather than to care on the sentence structure/grammar. Ganbatte folks!

Thank you Sena for another nice and encouraging video! I am the inverse of you, because I started studying Japanese many years ago, and after some initial difficulties, even stopped studying it for a year. But I eventually returned to it, and have tried to work hard on it since. very happy that I overcame hurdles and difficulties at various stages of studying the Japanese language - even if it took time - to reach the point where I'm at today, and hope to continue improving my Japanese in the future, since it is a never ending process to master another language. 限界を乗り越えて頑張ります!

I've lived in Thailand since 2005. I never had occasion for formal training to learn the Thai language earlier on as I was working.

I learned the numbers which was a tremendously helpful, but quick-learning programs never worked for me, gave me unrealistic expectations, subjective comparison to others along with jealousy and a sence of failure.

I still struggle, but hope to find the passion for learning language you describe. Thank you so much for this and all of your videos
