Grant Rant #109 - Grant Cardone: New York Times best selling author is here today to talk about WORK.

This concept of work, that the wealthy don't work hard. We hear this constantly: rich people don't work hard, rich people work smart. Rich people take all the vacations. You gotta be kidding, right? It's not true! Rich people DON'T take all the vacations. The vacation industry is literally built off the middle class, not the wealthy. You might not like this concept.

It says that one of the most controversial issues surrounding inequality is work effort.

This is a concept of why do the rich get richer and those people that don't have enough keep sliding down the scale. This is why Grant Cardone does these rants is because he's talking to the middle class and he's saying,

Look, do you see it disappearing? It's going away! The middle class is getting erased. Grant came from the middle class and he sees what's happening to it. What we used 20 or thirty years ago to build the middle class is not working for us today.

For instance... WORK HARD! There's this concept that you don't need to work hard you just need to work smart. If you work smart you get the right connections and you'll get rich. That's not true!

This is what else it says in the WSJ article:

"A new study offers evidence that higher-educated (and therefore higher earning) Americans do indeed spend more time working and less time on leisure than poorer income groups."

What is that saying? People that are actually making less money and less wealth are actually spending more time in leisure. Why? Because of myths. You were taught a myth. You were taught a concept of "enjoy my life".

I need to enjoy my life. I need to enjoy the day.

The wealthy don't think like that. The most successful people don't think about enjoying life. They think about LUXURY! They think about the big bang. They think about the big, BIG win. Not the little two day vacation. What rich people do is they'll suffer their whole life so they can go on vacation later - when there's wealth - for two and three months at a time.

You get it? WORK HARD! It is a myth that you're not going to work hard to be rich. Grant Cardone is working harder today than he ever has in his life. Most people only work hard enough that they're always working. Most people only work hard enough that they're always working. Most people only work so hard that they feel like they're always slaves.

Remember this: every time you feel like you're a slave, you've let somebody else be your master. Don't let that be you!

I would take the advice of Mr. Cardone. Last time I checked he built his worth to over 100 million from scratch and sold a hollywood actress on the idea of loving and marrying him was a good idea. You should check some more of his stuff out. Like his new video where he makes $80, 000 in 10 minutes from just taking the phone from some of his call staff.

I just had to shake my head in agreement about the vacation part. I want to take a trip this Summer but I'm not doing it until I hit my sales goal for my product. I'd feel like I didn't earn my vacation if I didn't hit my numbers.

Let me try: He's saying that when you stop worrying about enjoying life and learn to work hard for the things you want you get what you want and enjoy it all the more. Essentially, enjoying life isn't something you can do now, but you can earn it later. Its hard to express in plain english.

I agree with a lot of what he said although most rich, hard working people, are workaholics, they are consumed with working and trying to make more and more. I am not making that up, it's true.
