To the people saying the sizes look weird, it's because it's improved graphics with 3d buildings making it easier to notice.
Unit to building scale was much "worse" (units have to be larger to an extent, so not necessarily worse to have a more unrealistic scale) in both AoE and AoE2. AoE3 also had the "issue" but because irl equivalent buildings were smaller for the most part anyway, its unit to building size wasn't as drastic. This is a step up from aoe3, but not as crazy as the other two aoe games
