The Non-Canon Expert looks at some of the important and interesting lore that has finally been established in Canon for the Knights of Ren, explaining a mission the Order conducted prior to the events of the Sequel Trilogy where we get to learn what it takes to become one of the Knights.

This is a Canon story for the Knights of Ren with information found within the first issue of the Canon comic "Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren" that was released today. I hope that you enjoy it!

I think the reason it took so long for them to actually provide any information about the knights of ren is that they never really had any plans for the story of this sequel trilogy.

They should've had the sequel trilogy center on Kylo Ren's rise and fall (Luke's academy, Snoke, and the Knights of Ren). That would've been a cool story!

A dark-side cult of barbaric brutes who's principles are grounded on thoughtless murder. This would definitely explain a lot about Kylo, actually.

Kylo informed the Knights that they would finally see their remaining 14 minutes and 59 seconds of fame. And there was much rejoicing

But in seriousness, I bet the crystal of the Ren is the same one in Kylo’s lightsaber, that’s why he’s the leader. The reason for the instability is because Kylo took it by force

I get that it's too late, but we could have had the anti-ESB, see all the Knights fight with Kylo and train to kill Snoke, like a rebellion just with the dark side knights against the Praetorians. Have him fear Rey the whole time like Luke feared Vader.

I always thought the Knights of Ren were, like, Luke’s students who joined Ben/Kylo and served Snoke as trained killers and enforcers (like the imperial Inquisitors) using the dark side of the force.

These Knights of Ren look so badass and restored a little of my faith in the story of Kylo Ren.

That being said, did anyone else think one of the knights at 4:49 was wielding a cricket bat instead of a cleaver?
