24 Hours at One of the Country's Best Restaurants

2 Michelin-starred Harbor House Inn in Elk, California is redefining luxury - you won't find caviar, wagyu beef, or truffles on the menu, but it's one of the most luxurious meals I've ever eaten and it's one of the best restaurants in the country. This is what it's like to spend 24 hours at the restaurant eating a beautiful breakfast, a 5 course lunch, and a whopping 15 course dinner while also getting a behind the scenes look at their farm and learning more about the restaurant from the chef himself.

Had the pleasure of working with Chef Matthew Kammer when he was the executive sous at Saison. Hands down the best chef I’ve ever worked with.

Food tastes even that much more delicious when you get to share a meal with a kind, intelligent person. Their conversation and beauty of mind become part of the experience. Love your shows!

You need to check out Ynyshir, in Wales. It is completely redefining the way that most chefs are cooking in the UK, and the “fine dining” experience. It is so, so worth it.

That's a lot of courses for dinner . I wonder if your tasted buds become overwhelmed ? Looks fabulous, definitely fine dining. 700 a night is a little rich but I can see how its a total escape for 1 day or 3. Defiantly 35 to boomer type place . Looks like some good quality even rare food relaxation experience. How do you price on that if you feel relaxed and healed with food.

That looks amazing. Frankly, I'm probably never gonna eat at a fine dining restaurant unless invited, but I'd love to see more of larger bowls with less courses

While I have the utmost respect for the outside the box creativity that chef brings, this isn't my deal. I love the location, the lodging, and even the price seems fair given the amount of prep that goes into every plate. There was a time in my life when I'd have done cart wheels in traffic to go here. That's since past. I prefer the simpler things these days. Really nice review Michael, you nailed the descriptions of everything in a very clear and articulate way. I'm happy you were able to try it and happier that you loved it. Cheers from Chicago

Breathtaking~ Was breakfast and lunch included in the room price or additional?
