Caleb you're definitely helping. I started following you in February and I was much worse than this guy. I have been tracking monthly expenditures since and also have paid off all credit cards. Currently have student loans, car loans, and mortgage to go.

5% cashback, "Dude you're paying 30% interest!!" Had me in tears!

To all the people who think it is justified to go into debt for a ring/wedding/honeymoon don’t do it. If the person you are marrying is not happy enough to be with you to have a budget wedding than they don’t really love you. They only love what others think about them.

No joke, I proposed with a ring pop (my now wife thought it was adorable) and then the next day we went to the jewellery store and I let her choose whatever she wanted under $1600 (the exact amount in cash I had). Our wedding cost $3, 000 that we paid for in cash. Going on 8 years of marriage now.

35 minutes in, the root reason they split finances is because HE doesn’t control himself or his spending and SHE doesn’t trust him. Based on his admission he’s impulsive and makes short term decisions vs long term I kinda understand why she doesn’t trust him to conjoin finances, but I see trouble in their future.

Your show is seriously helping people, started watching a few months back, I’ve now paid off my truck, my CC debit (3k ish starting) is now in a 0% getting paid off asap, started a Roth IRA, cut out my unnecessary spending, actually have an emergency fund as well as a sofi savings. I wasn’t doing bad, but thanks to what you show people, I’m doing MUCH better, so thank you, what you do is important, and more educational than our education system

@CalebHammer, you need to interview a 75 year old Walmart worker to scare some of these people straight on their finances! 😀

Building a business off credit card debt has got to be one of the absolutely most stupid possible ideas around.

This show has taught me that there are people with great jobs and still have no money. I wouldn’t think it possible before. I am unemployed long term and even I have positive net worth.

The man creates so much debt and it doesn't make sense for her to want to keep her finances separate? I think it makes perfect sense.

Would you ever do an audit of a more financially responsible individual? As a young adult/recent college grad it would be helpful to see an example of someone who is making better choices but still needs advice working towards different goals

You should also do calculations on how long the guests can go on with their current spending/debt before they can no longer rebound.

Guests need to start printing out their Amazon statements along with the bank ones 😂😂

Higher income creep is way too common. We need to tell our children that if you get a job making 40k a year, live like you’re making 40k a year. And when you get a job making 120k a year, live like you’re making 40k a year

While I don’t suffer from any CC debt and have been working aggressively to pay off my student loans, you’ve made me work on my misc spending, the coffees and taquitos. I got a nespresso machine on sale and make all of my coffee at home now.

This isn't a money problem. It's a behavior problem. If he can recognize and change the behaviors, he has a good chance.
