I'm personally enjoying this season and think it's better than most, but definitely not better than last season and season 3. This episode really made me attach to Sarah's character. She really showed a great range of emotions so props to Mo Collins. I feel you on that cheap ass set though 🤣.. and the death of Rufus hit me hard as well. I don't know why, but I'd rather watch a human die than an animal any day 🤷 (on a tv show of course, lol)

They were being all gushy nice to each other, it was werd, Josiah changes his mind and we all continue down the yellow brick road.

The group could be working for Strand, spreading radioactive walkers around so everyone would have to come to him.

You never see feral cats and dogs roaming around. My guess is that people's pets mostly died off a month after the zombie apocalypse started. Rufus, Dog, Skidmark and even the CGI tiger were not meant to survive for a long time. Dog is all that is left and a few horses. Even the wildlife is mostly gone. I liked Rufus best of all TWD animals, but I didn't expect him to last very long.

Killing a dog to stir up emotions becuz the writing team is incapable of doing it thru organic story telling. This show is chalked.

In S6 E1, Emile is tracking a guy (I think his name was Walter) for the two men at the sub to take the key back from him. This guy just happened to stumble into Emile's camp saying people were after him. Emile asked him if he wanted beans. He makes a comment about the beans being really good and asked Emile what was in them. Emile told him he never revealed his secrets and that it was his brother's recipe. I didn't think about him mentioning the brother until you pointed those items on Rufus' grave. And I totally cried when ne was bitten. I thought Mo Collins was fantastic in this episode.

It's a good season and we are only a quarter way through emile was such a awesome character and fans were pissed so they brought in his twin brother makes sense to me, another thing i think luciana was great in season 2 in mexico

The best episode of the season. Sara is one of my favorite characters on the show right now. It was nice to get the insight on why Sara and Wendel are so close. I'm Glad they didn't continue the bounty hunter story. Could Strand be just using Wendel's name to play Sara's emotions? Yes the sets did suck pretty bad.

Great review and recap. I agree on the sets. It seems like they are running on a super low budget this season, which doesn't make a great combo with the sub-par writing. The car accident pissed me off so much. These people in the apocalypse waste so many cars! You'd think they'd be more careful. And I was so focused on how stupid it was of Sara to crash the car, that I didn't even notice the lack of air bags - you're right, where were the airbags? Just so low budget. Having said that, I'm in it for the long haul just out of curiosity to see what happens.

They do mention that Emile has a brother. The first scene he's in when he kills the guy by the fire, he asks about the beans & Emile said he can't share it because "it's my brother's recipe".... but really? Another family member brought on to replace a dead character? It just feels like the FTWD writers aren't very creative. Give us some new, badass characters!

I think this season has been really great. I've been wanting for Strand to turn full heel since they were in Mexico.
Major RIP to Rufus....the greatest of all pets in TWD.
