She is still one of the best vocalists in the NL. A a big and true inspiration to many other greats. Mind you, strange machines was released in 1995, Nigthwish didn't even exist yet at that time.

This song is from their third studio album called "Mandylion" (I bought a copy of course!), And I am trying to track down the rest of them... in short, I'm in a Quest !!!

my country is about 1000 miles away from netherlands. in late 90's and early 2000's every rocker and metalhead i knew had a poster of her on their wall. besides she is really a sweet person (not just on the eyes) she tried to connect with every country in europe and middle-east with their native language and memorised the lines before internet was a common thing and wireless earphones was even a thing. anyways, cheers.

Floor stated, in many interviews, that Anneke proved to her that a female singer could front a metal band and she said, at that moment, it was what she wanted to do - proof was when Floor became the powerhouse front lady of After Forever and the rest is history

Great reaction, showcasing one of the defining moments leading up to the advent of Dutch melodic metal vocalists. Annie inspired all of them, while most of the guys back then joined the line, all sharing a massive crush on her. Among the very few to rival Floor's massive stage presence, Anneke is a complete natural when it comes to crowd interaction.
It was heartening to see the amount of ppl asking for TeaTime with Anneke, when Elizabeth (fro TCV) did her recent and long awaited interview with Floor.
As others have suggested, you'd be treating yourself to music/vocals of the highest quality if you'd react to the H Trinity of songs from their 25th Anniversary concert (On Most Surfaces, Waking Hour, and before all: Travel, TG's ode to Mozart), so here goes: "The Gathering - Travel (TG25: Live at Doornroosje - unofficial video)".
