Grafana Loki 2.3: Easier & Faster Querying

Loki 2.3 introduces the pattern parser. Patterns are way simpler to write than Regex. As an added bonus, it's an order of magnitudes faster than the Loki regex parser. This means that you can now query way more semi-structured logs (nginx/envoy/syslog and more) in less time than before.

How to create dashboard variables out of this Loki logs to filter logs

1. Is Loki-Promtail stack suitable for aggregating and shipping logs that are generated at microsecond level?.
2. When logs are available in multiple files, promtail ships the logs in round robin fashion, spoiling the order of the logs. (Let's say logs generated through rolling file appender fashion).
