Can’t wait to try this method! SO CUTE!
Also I related way too much to the “please don’t barf” when the cat was yawning 😂

In the late 80's I decided to "recycle" a bunch of jeans I had been given and make a quilt, and a puff quilt is what it turned out to be (I had NO knowledge about quilts at ALL, I didn't know about quilt batting, so I stuffed each individual square like you did....) it was an EXTREMELY heavy piece (I backed it with flannel!!) and unless you lived in the arctic, it was very very HOT... but it came out so nice!! I only wish I had done a pretty border like you did...if I still had it, I would share a pic, but alas, time and MANY moves have aided in its misplacement... a fun project YOUR VIDEOS!!

Looks great. I actually thought you were going to do a large blue border. The moment when you laid out the quilt and left about 8 inches of blue showing it was striking.

You could've added an extra layer of cotton batting in between the puff layer and the backing. That is if you live in a colder area...not sure if you're Canadian or American...regardless America still has some fairly cold areas even in the mainland.
I was just thinking out loud so to speak that you could've added the extra cotton batting layer between the puff layer and the backing and then kind of quilt the baking to the puff squares.
You did a GREAT job 👍👏👏👏

if the border keeps bothering you, you could add a bias border(tube of fabroc folded in half), thats how quilts are traditionally finished. as well, you could “quilt” it to make sure the back doesnt come ip from the puffs by hand stitching anchor points at the corners of all the swuares if you start habing problems, but if it doesnt bother you, its perfect the way it is! its sooo cute and you did a great job keeping the squares straight, i always struggle with that when im quilting:)

The blanket looks amazing, I love the prints you used! You can really tell how much effort and love you put into it. It's also adorable how your cat wanted to help. 😊

Amazing! A question, can you wash it with this stuffing?

It looks like you used a velvet on the back it probably has stretch to it that caused the wave. I personally would use a high quality cotton from a quilt store or linen.

So cute. Now take yarn and tie little fringes where the corners meet. :)

I want one so bad! If you ever take commissions, I'm gonna be all over it.

Can you make a tutorial on how you attached the backing? I’ve never seen it done that way before!

It came out cute how many bags of stuffing did this take??
