JD Vance was a corporal in the Marines. He spent 4 yrs in service. By that point he should have been a Sargent or very close to it depending on how tight his group was. So assuming it was tight with limited vertical opportunities he left. He received the GI Bill and also managed to save money for matching funds for tuition. A grunt marine corporal applied and got accepted by Yale. How many marine corporals were or have ever been accepted at Yale. I would say less than 10. He made the most of it, meeting and marrying up with his wife. He writes a book and wins his first election As a US Senator. Stfu Dems. Vance should be a role model to everybody, especially the enlisted members of the military.
