I think we live in a very judgemental time… saving is important, but some people spend because we are here TO LIVE! not just to save… i am not encouraging bad “unhealthy habits”, but whats the point of living if all we do is live at a bare minimum? This is not the life we were meant to have… having fun, whether it is means going out on a weekend just you and your partner, and paying to have the kids watched- IS HEALTHY AND GOOD! Whats the point of only saving if we have no true quality of life? If we do not live in a space (a home) that is comfortable for our family? If we cant spend money on the weekends on activities that makes us happy and feel at peace…?
I believe in balance.. and for all of us balance looks different because our needs are not all the same❤…

Save for retirement, work the benefit system for all its worth. If youre young invest aggressively. Slam, baby, slam, slam, slam, right into that brokerage account. 30 years later when you walk with that pension, benefits, social security, and that HUGE brokerage account....youre gonna feel a lot better about things, i promise you.
