[MH3U] Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate - How to Capture a Lagiacrus - The Lord of the Seas

The Lord of the Seas is a 5 star quest requiring a captured Lagiacrus. Make sure you have fire weapons if you don't want this quest to drag on, and don't forget your tranq bombs and traps!

I found Laggy extremely easy on land, but a complete chore underwater. Especially when he's always darting back and forth across the screen.

I try to do this damn quest, and I kick it's ass, then it gets a super-mega-ultra combo on me, stuns me, then kills me. UGH I HATE THIS QUEST!

That is a great idea, I will put a video of some monsters with lower level armor and weapons. What monsters do you want me to do?

You have to catch him in a trap first. When he is limping(under water: instead of slithering quickly, he'll paddle away) then you need to get ahead of him and place a trap. Its good to learn where he will leave in an area and place a trap there ahead of time. Once he is caught in the trap then use your tranq bombs. It took me two or three tries but you get a lot of good bonuses on this quest.

Are you aware of the shortcut in the starting zone of the flooded forest? It sends you immediately in Zone 5

Good luck with it! Hes much tougher to catch in the Flooded Forest since he it is such an enclosed area.

man i hate underwater combat because the cam is just horrible, half of the time i don't know what lagiacrus is doing or where he is...

Had to redo this after i got kayamba and chacha back this shit was riculous without them. The capture guru skill is real helpful on capture missions. Youll know right when to cap it instead of wasting time and health.

I found this Lagiacrus battle more different then the story related one. I think it was because of how Open the Deserted Island was, but how claustrophobic this area felt.

It's Flamestorm, fire dual swords you can craft from pieces of agnaktor!

the big ones like lagiacrus rathalos giganox... i have okay armour but stick to a greatsword, which is bad for underwater quests, so tips for that would be helpful aswell :)

As a solo and beginner player on 3DS, this video looks so easy but tbh without Cha-Cha is a pain, I'm hating this part of the quest more than capturing a Quru xD
