I remember Windsor Terrance, and Windsor Place. I used to go to PS 154 which is on Windsor Place and 11th Avenue back in 1988 until I graduated in 1992. I remember it very well.

Hi AK! Having lived in Boro Park-Windsor Terrace- Kensington for 11 years ago, I covered every square inch of the blocks you walked on there.
3:35 I knew Blondie when she operated the diner there in the mid 1970s. She was only about 25 when she opened the place, called me "Honey", and was sweet to everyone.
10:30 bike was locked. Here in St Paul people still do not lock their bikes because hoods don't normally run off with them.
11:20 & 18:15 Key Food is a chain of supermarkets that have been around for decades. We used to shop at KF in East New York when I grew up there. Sadly, there are few supermarkets in this area and it is understandable why folks objected to losing the store.
12:20 you walked past what used to be Laura's Italian restaurant on Prospect Ave & Reeve Pl. Her cooking was home made style, just like that of an Italian grandma. She spoke with a deep old country accent and I miss her cause she was nice to me and my buddies.
20:20 one man's trash, another's treasure ~ I have a very long story to tell you about that. Maybe I'll send you a note some day soon.
27:00 Farrell's ~ I quaffed just a few pints there a long time ago. In the old days only neighborhood types went there. Nowadays I understand it get a younger more Millennial type crowd.
Oh by the way, you also passed a tenement where a naughty school teacher lived - she was known for inviting some school boys for fun times ~ ahem, I won't be more specific nor will I point to the house as I don't want to embarass anyone. But you know how Brooklyn is as the place produces characters that make for interesting novelettes and tv dramas. 🤓

Since this video, and one of your other videosl's, that I watched, were made in 2019, this would make them about 3 1/2 years old. So I don't know if you monitor the comments, that far back, but I very much enjoyed your narrative. It reminded me of my nephew's narrative of Wash., DC; very informative, and I will subscribe.

My girlfriend lives here! I live in the UK, I love it. I’ve never left the station this way though. 😯
I remember walking up that hill to the hardware store on the left, it is steeper than it looks
You missed the main road which has Steeplechase coffee shop and a number of bars/restaurants and more shops further on, with the cemetery and prospect park adjacent to each other

Loved the tour. My old neighborhood. Lived there on vanderbilt street 40 years, looks so different tho. But still get that home feeling.

It is interesting to see houses in New York City. Most of what I've seen are high-rise buildings. Great video. Cheers!
