Whilst he himself was unharmed, he told me about boys being forced to drop their draws and be caned on the backside if they transgressed for minor, innocuous reasons. The weird part was that the man in question used to quote bible verses and touch himself whilst he was doing the task. Turns out that was indeed Mr. Smyth. Everyone knew about it. He was a sick man.

Years ago in Durham, I worked on the fish counter at Sainsbury's in Durham. I was new and had no to little training and the counter staff were off trying to cover both aisle and counters. I was left in charge of both counters and deluged suddenly with customers. I panicked and ran to get someone to go on meat apologising to customers profusely and I saw a man standing there giving me the most evil hateful stare I have ever seen before and since. I'm no lily livered person, but I never forgot this demon faced guy as it was so impressionably shocking to me. Unaware who he was I was watching something on telly about the archbishop of Durham who was being brought in as the Canterbury arsebishop, and I instantly recognised that face! I have waited for years for someting to happen to him and I bet he's guilty of much, much more criminal activity.

Physical abuse is also largely emotional and psychological abuse. Not to mention sexual abuse. Followed by gaslighting the victim for years.

He should have issued police authorities the catalogue of complaints for investigation. Instead he facilitated him with new child victims in Zimbabwe with confidence that establishment corruption over there would smooth over any complaints raised regarding his future bestial indulgences.
