My only problem with the movie was the overglorification of karna...the chariot scene shown in the end has no mention in any Mahabharata manuscript. Its only folklore..it made arjun look arrogant and karna like the ultimate hero..but in reality Krishna never spoke such words for karna...you can read gitapress authentic Mahabharata.i am not lying.

Prabhas's character should had been bhima's reincarnation instead karna's. Because bhairava means Shiva, Hanuman is avatar of Shiva and Hanuman and bhima both are Pawan putras ( just like rajamouli done in RRR )

1. The portrayal of the Law of Karma and Ashwatthama's perspective is nuanced, which might lead to a negative interpretation of Arjuna's character. It's a subtle twist.

2. No one knows the appearance of Kali, so there's no definitive description. The antagonist, named Supreme Yaskin, gains the power of a lord and can wield the "Gandiv, " but this detail isn't significant. Lord Kalki's supremacy transcends such details.

3. Throughout the movie, there's a recurring theme glorifying Karna's power, despite his alignment with adharma. As Kunti's son, his greatness is acknowledged, and his immortal soul could return. This doesn't diminish the Pandavas or glorify the Kauravas. Ashwatthama and Karna weren't Kauravas; they chose their side.

4. Certain scenes offer Ashwatthama's point of view exclusively, illustrating how individuals perceive themselves as right. However, the resolution of Ashwatthama's curse by Lord Krishna aligns with the laws of karma. Ashwatthama's portrayal acknowledges his power without glorifying him; he simply fulfills his role. His status as one of the 7 immortals and his future fight against Evil Kali alongside Lord Kalki reflect his complex character.

5. During the peak of Kaliyuga, practices like Sadhana, sewa, and satsang may decline, making it challenging to find meditating monks. Discussions about other cultures often involve symbolic actions yet to manifest. Presently, the movie surpasses so-called big-budget films with its superior CGI, VFX, and impactful Mahabharata-themed soundtrack, devoid of controversy.

Moreover, it avoids glorifying braggarts(Topibaaz & their beliefs😂), potentially a fleeting trend. As scriptures say, one's actions dictate their fate, ensuring a natural course of events. So that's good. Rating 6.5 is perfect but, for CGI & VFX of Mahabharata (only), its 10/10.

Spoiler : Prabhas is Karna . The weapon is Krishna's bow . I agree with sir's review. The movie is good and must watch . But presentation and story line is somehow copied from mostly Anita the battle angel( the world concept, bounty hunters, credit earning to go back to complex, villains stopping that) . Some visual action concepts from Star wars/ Dune, Wakanda and Avatar . All are blockbuster Hollywood hits . But worth watching due to Amit Sir performance, visual effects, bgm and screenplay .

You people are saying this movie is problematic bcz of showing prabhas as karna and kali in chathurbuz form but this movie influenced youth of AP and Telangana that they have started reading Mahabharat and discussing characters of Mahabharata. I would’ve been surprised if you didn’t have a problem with this film .
I would request you to see Sampoorna Ramayanam and Seethakalyanam (visual treat, Jayaprada as Seetha matha) Telugu by Bapu garu, so try to understand it as you love people sticking close to the scriptures . Please review it
The other one which is almost close to the original Mahabharatha Virataparvam is Nartanasala. I read Virataparvam from original Mahabharatham., so I can guarantee it matches the original text .
Please review that as well.
None of these new movies will be to your liking sir .
But those movies dont have dubbing so if you want something close to our scriptures and also beautiful cinema, you have to manage telugu. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
