I’m not a Raiders fan, but sitting a rookie QB is the way to go.

I’m a Colts fan, and our QB situation is a disaster because the Colts did not follow the “golden rule” . . .

Yes I agree 👍. Throwing a rookie QB into the fire rarely works out. Let them learn over time, working on techniques and soaking in information. I believe that to be the best approach.

Howard is 6'4" 225lbs and can run. 26 rushing TD's

Don't forget that Will Howard also just won a Natty with Chip Kelly who is now our offensive coordinator. So Howard also has a lot of experience in Chip Kelly's system.

I don't want to miss out on Jeanty, if we trade back we might miss out on drafting him, I'm all in on drafting a young QB in the later rounds.

I love that trade w saints get extra 2nd rd pick and still get jeanty at a better value than at pick 6 so ya I hope that happens

Keeping AOC as the backup with a rookie contract incase Smith goes down makes more sense. Draft a qb in the 3rd round or 4th round and have him 3rd string

Trade into the 3 spot and draft Hunter. That's a starteing CB1 and WR In one. There are a lot of good running backs this year. Picked one up in the second.

This is breaking news? The Raiders were always going to draft a rookie QB in the later rounds to sit and learn behind Geno Smith. Why would you trade away Aidan O'Connell who is your best insurance policy (on a cheap rookie contract). You know Aidan can win games if he has to come in and take over. Who is cheaper and a better QB2 than Aidan? The closer we get to the draft the more bizarre the draft rumors become. Can we please start the draft

There's a huge difference between the college and pro game. Not only the complexity of the offense that a rookie has to learn, but also the window for error is much smaller, given the increased speed present in NFL defenses. Rookie QBs with superior athletic ability and refined passing skills can potentially start from Day One, but it's best to sit a QB for a couple of years so they can develop first, instead of being thrown into the fire to get banged up.

Keep Aiden to compete with rookie and backup Geno. If Geno gets hurt you don’t want to throw a rookie in early. Aiden is a great backup option and perfect Qb to have a rookie compete with.

Try to trade back mid round and grab one of the top 4 WRs- Golden! Get an extra 2nd/ 3rd. Grab another QB on day 2 and RB. Boom! Winning draft strategy unlocked.

I like Sanders. You can't teach accuracy (which he has), but I believe Smith and Brady can teach him how to read defense, manipulate the pocket etc etc...

Who are we trading Oconnell to and for what capital? Also I believe Oconnell would be a better starter this year than Howard. What Ewers?

Draft jenty. We don't need to address the qb for wins now. This isn't a total rebuild. We had no drive consistency last year. If jacobs never left that's a 4 win difference.

It has been my experience that while there are a few quarterbacks who are day 1 starters, most of the best quarterbacks in history sat behind someone for a year or more. Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw and a host of others. It's a good plan. They can build around the position and have a really solid roster when the kid takes the reigns.

This years draft just feels like w ton of 2nd to 4th rounders. No real 1st rounders but similar talent still available in rds 5-7.

After Cam Ward there is not a qb in this years draft that is better then AOC, draft hype is making these other qbs stock rise. I do agree with trading back a few spots with the Saints for the right deal, and, with Carrs injury they are desperate.

They already have a 4th round pick, and the guy even comes with game experience....let him continue to learn and grow, and he can obviously step in confidently if u need him to fill in
