I use whatever I have with fresh gas mixed 50:1. First cut of the day or when switching batches of mix, I take 30 seconds to tune the carb. Never had a carbon buildup problem and the inside of my mufflers look like the saw has never been ran.

I've emailed stihl and they stated there was no stabilizer in ultra, at least not in Europe maybe you are different..

I really like the video One Thing though that synthetic oil is nice to get the extra warranty and breaking the engine but after that use the orange bottle the synthetic oil unless you're running full throttle constantly it causes a mest out the muffler and clogs the spark arrestor

Dad gave me his first saw the STHL 025 farm boss and he’s owned it since new and used only straight gas and the little orange can, should I risk burning my saw up after running over 40 years with the original type oil?

From all the tests and real world long term results seen. The Stihl orange bottle is ok. But, the silver Stihl Ultra is terrible for some reason. The current consensus is use Echo Red Armor if you need to clean the engine out, and Amsoil Sabre is the ultimate best oil.

Why do all the small engine repair channels on YT consistently say that stihl ultra sucks and any thing is better even the normal orange?

Worst oil you can run in any machine is that damn stihl oil!! Dirty it’s not even jaso rated and by far 50:1 mix ratio is way to light a mix! Works fine for upper cylinder lube but does nothing for lower end bearings every one I tear apart is dry as can be down bottom. Do not use this shit buy a quality FD jaso rated oil like red armor or husky XP+ those are rated oils and burn much cleaner and for the love of god don’t run your machines at 50:1 run them at 40:1 and lube that bottom end up!!
