Praise God this has been helpful for a lot of people! 🙌🏻 Just a quick note for those who are saying that “Ehyeh” should be translated “I will be”. I don’t disagree that that’s one way to translate it. But that wouldn’t convey the meaning accurately in English, as that wouldn’t offer any assurance to the Israelites in this context. So, the best translation to convey the most accurate meaning is as I’ve stated and how English translations have it, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh” - “I am that I am”.

Honestly bro this is first explaination of Yahweh that made any sense… most ppl just say something that’s so confusing it doesn’t even sound like they understand it (sound like they are regurgitating an explaination that someone else told them) or they go into a rant about polytheism in the Old Testament… Semitic languages are so nuanced that to understand it in English really takes a paragraph just for part of the word to be understood! This is very important information, as it brings out the realization that when Jesus was saying "Before Abraham was, I AM"

He wasn't just stating God's name. He was using the first person form of God's name, very clearly meaning that Jesus was saying that He is the Lord God.

Wow, I'm a Hebrew speaker and you got it right. But it only makes sense for someone referring to God to call Him "He is" and not "I am". It's correct . You would refer to God as Yahweh/He is. Speaking of "He is", you should listen to the song called "He is" by Aaron Jeffery. You might like it.😊

There's Scholars that also say.
I AM, means = I AM, I WAS, & ALWAYS WILL "BE."

In other words, its another way to say I AM THE 1ST & THE LAST. By saying I AM HE, Because I was always there in the beginning, & I'll always "BE."
