I went and picked one up from them at their facility a few weeks back and they couldn't have been nicer folks. I've been gambling on my amps for a while with the voltage in Donelson being around 126 to 128, so this is keeping my pile of tweed and Tolex a lot happier

New subscriber and I have not had the money to try it yet but an old friend loved the jbl speakers for his sub cabinet in his car and you will be surprised how hard he could get even country music to hit in his car. He liked garth brooks as much as I did. We also grew up close to each other and we remember all of the radio stations always had a couple of gospel follow by a couple of rock then a couple of rocks then a couple of r&b songs on all the stations so we always liked all the music from all the years!¡

Uncle Doug has a great video scoping your amp at vering biases for head room and tube life. He never talks about wall voltages or uses a variac that I can tell. Biasing your tubes is very important as you will see.

Bought a mint unplayed 58 Deluxe and had it recapped and set up. Can’t recall if those need to be biased or if they’re self biasing, etc but anyway it was set up to play. Question is if that means it’s now best to play it at 120 volts and if the purpose of using a Brown Box to go to 117 or so has been defeated? Would it require setting it back up to 1958 specs in any regard be necessary in order to use a BB effectively? Also I know it’s a topic of debate if attenuator’s are bad for amps, I’ve got a 69 50 watt JMP, is there the same debate about voltage regulators?

I have a 3rd Power Dirty Sink and it is a fantastic amp. Marshall-ish side of the Kitchen Sink. Since I’m getting old I appreciate how LIGHTWEIGHT it is.

Do you need a scope to see what your amps optimum voltage wants to see?

What is the purpose of having two outlets on the new model? Running two amps? Power your pedal board too? Very interested to hear more about the newer simpler version for modern amps that you briefly referenced… my issue is the consistency from venue to venue especially outdoor festival stages. My Savage Macht 12 combo is definitely affected by this all the time. My pedals too!

Just ordered my Brown Box. Do you think I can plug a power strip into the BB... and have 3 of my amps plugged into the strip? Only one on at a time of course.. but so I don't need to unplug power cables every time I use a different amp. Thanks!

what about using the box on a blues deluxe lacquer tweed the 2nd gen

Will it damage my amp to run it at 114 volts if it's biased for 120 volts? My hand wired Deluxe sounds better at 114 but I don't want to stress any parts out.
